At Wenz, we are always looking to help our customers in any way possible, and this often includes suggesting places they can go to get help with different areas of their project.
This is why the design team at Wenz recently took a field trip to Kimps Ace Hardware! We wanted to check out their paint studio and see what they could offer our customers who might be updating or remodeling their home. We were not disappointed!
Talking with Nicole
When we arrived, we met Nicole Kornowski, the interior designer working at the paint studio in Kimps Ace Hardware. She was extremely knowledgeable and showed us all of the amazing paint options, color samples, wallpaper, and other design supplies available at Kimps! She made sure to point out recent design trends for us as well.
As an interior designer, Nicole has a lot of experience updating and remodeling, and has used many of the products at Kimps in her own home! Who better to speak on their behalf than someone who has personal experience using them?
We thoroughly enjoyed talking with Nicole and finding out about all that Kimps Ace Hardware has to offer. We learned a lot, and we can’t wait to tell our customers about some of the new design options that are available to them!
Design Trends and Innovations
There were multiple new design trends and tricks that stuck out to us when we visited Kimps. The main new trend we discussed was the return of wallpaper! Wallpaper has once again become a popular way to decorate your walls, and Nicole showed us some of the current trending wallpaper designs – many of which are heavily textured and layered with color.
She also explained to us that there are new, more efficient ways to apply wallpaper. For example, if you use SureStrip Wallpaper, you can easily hang an entire sheet on your wall with just water! When you are ready to remove it, you just simply pull it off your wall in one clean sheet. It’s so convenient!
Wood paneling is another recent trend we discussed with Nicole. Kimps currently offers wood panel appliques that help you easily create the look of wood accents in your home, and it is extremely easy to apply! If you are looking for a quick and easy way to add some extra style to your home, wood appliques are an excellent way to do that.
We also talked paint with Nicole and found out which paints were most popular at Kimps; neutral beiges and greys are currently some of the more popular choices. We were amazed by the array of color palettes at the paint studio, and the number of colors customers can choose from overall!
Nicole also showed us that there is a nifty new way to select your colors…
Stick and peel paint samples! We were very excited when Nicole showed us these. You can actually take a paint sample, stick it to your wall to see how the color will look, and then peel it off – no damage done! We thought this was such a great idea when trying to select a paint color for your home.
