The Showcase of Homes is a semi-annual event held by The Brown County Home Builders Association to showcase spectacular Green Bay homes built by local builders. The showcase is open to the public, and those in the market for a new home, looking for inspiration for their home, or just interested in seeing beautiful homes in the area are encouraged to attend!
Staging Services
Wenz Home Furniture takes part in the showcase of homes by providing staging services. Essentially, we provide the icing on the cake. We add the finishing touches to the home, dressing it up with the right furnishings and accessories to enhance the look and feel of the space.
Staging is perfecting the art of giving an empty space the feeling of a home – appearing brighter, cleaner, warmer, and more loving. Someone can more easily imagine themselves living there!
It requires careful attention to detail, both large and small. Each element plays a role, from selecting accessories, to placing furnishings in the right configuration. Our designers at Wenz are experts at what they do, and we have so much fun staging homes for the showcase every year!
This year’s design trends
Each year we get to attend the showcase and observe fresh new interior design trends. Some of the trends from this year’s showcase stood out to us, and we’d like to share them as they might inspire you!
The first trend we are noticing is fun tile patterns. We are seeing this a lot in the kitchen backsplash, bathroom floor, and bathroom shower. Strong contrasting colors are used often, and geometric patterns have been popular.
The second trend we are noticing is a modern farmhouse style. This style has been trending for a while now, and it doesn’t look like it will be going out of fashion anytime soon! Modern farmhouse style combines classic comfort with modern flair.
This style largely focuses on simplicity and comfort; it can make anyone feel at home! Lots of wooden accents and rustic elements are incorporated.
The third trend that stood out to us at the showcase was dark window trim. The dark trim creates a nice contrast against lighter, neutral colored walls.
It makes the windows pop, and nicely frames the view of the outside. This trend is a dramatic custom touch that adds character, and it’s also a very affordable look to accomplish!
Sunrooms have become a very popular trend in new homes. As the perfect little nook for enjoying your morning coffee, the sunroom is a room meant for rest and relaxation, with large windows letting in plenty of natural light. As the colder weather moves in, it’s the perfect place to curl up with a good book and snuggle up under your favorite blanket.
The Showcase of Homes is a great opportunity to get inspired when it comes to your next home improvement project. We encourage you to attend and see all of the amazing work done by local builders, as well as the trendy furnishings and accessories that decorate the homes!
